Duthie Power Services Continues to grow as San Diego’s Generator Experts
Much in the generator industry has shifted since Duthie Power Services’ expansion to San Diego in 2019. Under the sales leadership of Kyle Michael, the team has added new generator technicians, joined BOMA San Diego, and promoted Nathan Woods to Operations Coordinator.
Nathan Woods started with Duthie Power in 2018, working as a field service technician out of their Long Beach offices. With a degree in Business Administration from CSU Fullerton and five years’ service in the Army as a mechanic, Nathan saw the generator industry as a good career fit. “Duthie gave me the opportunity to grow professionally, and I like how it’s a family-oriented company. They definitely care about their employees.”
By 2021, Nathan relocated to San Diego to work with Kyle Michael as lead technician for the San Diego territory. “I took a lot of initiative when I started at Duthie, so it was nice to be rewarded for pursuing growth and education.” More recently, Nathan Woods was promoted to Operations Coordinator, managing the service side of Duthie’s San Diego business.
As Kyle Michael, remarks, “It’s the perfect role for Nate to use both his exceptional business skills, as well as bring his advanced technician knowledge to our operations.”
Looking ahead, Duthie Power’s San Diego division is optimistic. Kyle Michael explains, “It wasn’t the easiest start with COVID, but we’ve managed to grow our business and forge relationships through competitive pricing and quality work. We had the advantage in LA County through over 55 years of service, and we’re still demonstrating to the San Diego market that we stand behind our work and have integrity.”
Duthie Power’s San Diego generator expert division covers all of San Diego and Imperial counties. Their commercial generator service customers run the gamut from homeowners to hospitals, high rises, data centers, and media companies. San Diego also has a lot of biotech and medical research and development companies for whom reliable backup power is critical, as their data is priceless.
